Had our anniversary dinner here. Romantic steakhouse at the beach. Very impressed with the steak and accompaniments. The lobster Thermidor was served with fries. We should have read the description and subbed out the fries for something else. The place is very accommodating. We will definitely go back.
My husband and I went there for our anniversary. Our waiter and all of the staff were so kind and helped make our anniversary memorable! The food was phenomenal! Every bite was delicious and we will definitely going back.
If you're looking for good vibes, great food and wine list and super warm hospitality, Houston White Co is a must! I went with some girlfriends, and we all had the best time. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was so lovely and hospitable - she seemed to know everyone in the room! You can feel there's heart and soul behind everything in the space. The menu was a major highlight! The steak was perfect and everything we ate was enjoyed by all. Next time I go back, I'll cozy up at the bar - the seating was so inviting there too. Highly recommend!
Beautiful space, very attentive staff. The filet mignon was delightful and cooked perfectly. The cheddar biscuits and Brussels sprouts were SO GOOD. Perfect date night spot in a quaint setting with lovely servers and managers. Can't wait to go back!
Such a nice steakhouse! My husband and I came for our anniversary dinner and we were not disappointed. The hostess gave us an amazing table by the windows, so we were able to watch the sunset as we ate. There was such a cozy, warm atmosphere. Dining here was a slow, but wonderful experience. It took about 1.5-2 hours from the moment we sat town to finishing the check. The cheddar biscuits were wonderful, the wine was excellent and the food was great. The table shares (sides) were enough for one serving for 4 people. So, take that in mind as you order! Also, I don’t recommend you bring kids! This is definitely aimed for adults. :-) My only two issues were that: 1. The coke was from a bottle, which was kind of flat. 2. The hostess stand was this deli cooler and once it got dark out, the fluorescent light from the cooler was beaming, which took away from the cozy, romantic ambiance. However, we both agreed that this place is a must-visit and we’ll be returning!
Absolutely amazing food, worth every penny! Our steaks were cooked perfectly and so tender with a good amount of flavor. Our cheese board was tasty and the beef carpaccio was perfect. The peanut butter pie was light and very tasty. Service was great as well. This place is a gem!
Houston White came highly recommended by a sales rep at local builder Schell Brothers. As someone who loves to support locally owned and operated businesses, I was eager to give it a try. Nestled in the heart of Rehoboth Beach’s downtown shopping and dining area, this small gem boasts a beautiful dining space and a quaint bar. We started with the cheddar bread, which was so good we took home what we didn't eat. The craft gin cocktails were balanced and perfectly flavored, setting the tone for a delightful culinary experience. I started with a bowl of potato soup, which was packed with flavor yet not too heavy—perfect for a cold, rainy February day. This was followed by the Caesar salad, a known specialty. The greens were fresh, and the dressing struck the perfect balance of flavor and consistency without overwhelming the salad. For the main course, I enjoyed a 6oz filet mignon with au poivre sauce. The steak melted in my mouth, and the sauce added an extra layer of enjoyment. My wife ordered the mushroom risotto, which was wine-based and darker than she expected. If you prefer a white-sauce risotto, you might want to choose something else. However, the risotto was perfectly cooked, showcasing the chef’s expertise. I look forward to returning to this small business when I visit Rehoboth Beach again, hopefully on a warm day when I can stroll around after a fine meal and enjoy the local shops. I highly recommend patronizing this local gem and supporting local businesses. You’ll be glad you did.
It was our first time visiting and we had a great time, food was amazing and wine so delicious, atmosphere was great, service was excellent! Wait time for the food was a bit longer than expected but overall it was a great experience
